From the mind of Ritsuo Tsuchida, the chef behind Blowfish Sushi To Die For and Iza Ramen, comes a simple yet elegant take on Japanese Izakayas
Blowfish Sushi to Die For has been serving world renowned food to the Mission District for more than twenty years. And in the past few years, our company has opened two additional Japanese ramen restaurants: Iza Ramen Lower Haight and Iza Ramen SOMA, with both receiving multitudinous praise and accolades.
Now, chef-owner Ritsuo Tsuchida is excited to add another location to the ever-growing Blowfish family- Tawara Sake Dining. Tawara is envisioned with the spirit of being a chef's hobby space, a small, intimate place where you are dining at the chef's home table and reliving traditional Japanese dishes from his childhood (some reimagined, of course!) with him. With the Mission District in mind, we have a large variety of vegan and gluten-free options available, so everyone and anyone can join us at our table.
